Avantgarde: A Modern Green Restaurant Inspired by the Amazon

A Unique Dining Experience in Tehran

Avantgarde restaurant is a modern green restaurant that has been built in 740 square meters, including a lobby, main hall, CIP area, and a unique hall for children. The project's design is inspired by the jungles of the Amazon and the rivers pathing inside of it. The main goal is to create a green area to remind people not to destroy trees and care about their beautiful green planet. In addition, the people here will breathe fresh air due to ceiling plants.

Regarding rapid civilization and the destruction of green districts in most urban planning, there is a need to replant and create neutral places to refresh people's minds and remind them to care about the environment, which aligns with the UN's goals. The design of the Avantgarde restaurant draws inspiration from the Amazon jungle, the most significant green area on the planet, and its beautiful rivers.

What sets Avantgarde apart is its placement in a commercial complex in Tehran and its use of eco-friendly materials. The ceiling of the restaurant features a spectacular structure with vertical hanging metals that act as plant dividers, reminiscent of the sky view of the Amazon jungle. Curved and spiral lights between the plants symbolize the rivers that flow through the heart of the jungle.

The realization of this design involved combining iron-made structures with plants and curved lights to form the ceiling. The use of eco-friendly materials throughout the construction further emphasizes the restaurant's commitment to sustainability.

The Avantgarde restaurant spans a total area of 740 square meters and offers various spaces, including a lobby, main hall, CIP area, and a unique hall for children. The placement of different forms, styles, and materials such as metals, glasses, stones, and curved lines, along with vertical stripes and vibrant colors, creates an integrated and pleasant atmosphere for guests.

The project was designed in 2021 in Tehran and is currently under construction. The design team, led by Peyman Kiani Falavarjani, includes Parisa Biriya and Nima Bavardi, who have worked diligently to overcome creative, technical, and research challenges to bring this unique concept to life.

Avantgarde restaurant not only focuses on emotional design but also ensures that each aspect of the space serves a specific function. Extensive research was conducted on indoor and outdoor flora and fauna to select plants that produce oxygen consistently and absorb harmful pollutants from the air.

The Avantgarde restaurant has been recognized for its exceptional design and has been awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. This prestigious award acknowledges the restaurant's well-designed, practical, and innovative features that meet professional and industrial requirements. The integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics contributes to a better world and provides fulfillment and positive experiences for visitors.
